Remove a section of a video
- Navigate to the first frame you’d like to delete and hit the i-key. This inserts an in point for your edit.
- Then use arrow keys or your mouse to navigate to the last frame you’d like to delete and hit the o-key. This inserts the out point for your edit.
- Now choose Edit -> Cut or hit the Delete-key to remove your selection.
Reduce (or Increase) height/width of video
- Open the video file
- Go to Window > Show Movie Properties
- (This is the impossible thing to find) Click Video Track. You'll see the tab offerings change below that.
- Click Visual Settings tab
- Voila! You can change the size by inputting different numbers into "Scaled Size" boxes.
- Once you change the first number, tab to the second to see it change (if you have "Preserve Aspect Ratio" checked).
- Click "High Quality" checkbox (insert check)
- Close window
- Now you can export (Edit > Export) to the format you wish
