Remove a section of a video

  1. Navigate to the first frame you’d like to delete and hit the i-key. This inserts an in point for your edit.
  2. Then use arrow keys or your mouse to navigate to the last frame you’d like to delete and hit the o-key. This inserts the out point for your edit.
  3. Now choose Edit -> Cut or hit the Delete-key to remove your selection.

Reduce (or Increase) height/width of video

  1. Open the video file
  2. Go to Window > Show Movie Properties
  3. (This is the impossible thing to find) Click Video Track. You'll see the tab offerings change below that.
  4. Click Visual Settings tab
  5. Voila! You can change the size by inputting different numbers into "Scaled Size" boxes.
    • Once you change the first number, tab to the second to see it change (if you have "Preserve Aspect Ratio" checked).
  6. Click "High Quality" checkbox (insert check)
  7. Close window
  8. Now you can export (Edit > Export) to the format you wish
