Dear Jiashun,

The attached config.log seems coming from the python package, not from CitcomS. Did you attach a wrong file?

In fact, you don't need to build python on your linux machine. Python is already installed on it. You only need the header file from Ubuntu using this command:

(as root)
apt-get install python2.6-dev

Then you can install CitcomS as regular user

--------
譚諤 (Eh Tan)
Assistant Research Fellow
I am an undergraduate student and will graduate soon. I will study further for a phd degree in geodynamics and CitcomS will be the most important tool.
When I install CitcomS-3.2.0, the configuration always hangs up when it is installing the python dependencies. The config.log says "Download error: unknown url type: https". The attachment is the config.log. What could the problem be?
Thank you!
