I have version vx53 and that works OK. I think you may have to contact someone like Andreas Plesch to see if you can get an older version. If you have trouble getting it, let me know and I will create a tarball for you and put it where you can get it. Updating PyLith to use the new version actually requires an update to the spatialdata package on which PyLith depends.
