The CIG/SPICE/IRIS Seismology Workshop was held October 9-11, 2007, in Jackson, NH, at the Eagle Mountain House. It was a joint meeting between European and American Seismologists to discuss current "hot topics": algorithm development, imaging developments, and the future goals of a united American-European scientific community.

Air Travel - Transport to Hotel - Carpooling
Due to the location of the Eagle Mountain Resort, we will attempt to arrange carpooling. Please send Ariel Shoresh your airport, flight, arrival and departure information if you have not already done so. If you have already made these arrangements for your party, please let Ariel know who you will travel with.
Arriving by Air:
There are four major airports within 140 miles of Jackson.
Logan Airport in Boston is an international airport with the greatest selection of carriers and service. We suggest you check fares and service to each airport to find the best to suit your schedule and budget.
Arriving by Bus:
Concord Trailways offers service from Logan Airport and South Station in Boston to the Glen Ledge Corner Store on Route 16, about two miles from the Eagle Mountain House.
Arriving by Car:
Public transportation is limited in this area so we recommend you have a car to get around. Beware of moose and deer when driving, particularly around dawn and dusk. Here are some approximate mileages from major cities:
Boston, MA - 140 miles
Manchester, NH - 115 miles
Portsmouth, NH - 85 miles
At this time we would like to ask that all speakers, and those presenting posters, submit AGU-style abstracts for their presentations. For those presenting posters, if you have an idea of the size, we could make sure arrangements are made for display ahead of time. The deadline for these is September 1, 2007.
There will be some money available for reimbursement. Forms will be made available to all participants at the workshop to be submitted to specific funding sources. The amount and source will be determined at the workshop. This process could be greatly assisted if you could send Ariel Shoresh your estimated costs as soon as possible.
All participants are requested to bring their laptops in order to download/run software during the workshop. For those of you with difficulty accessing wireless (either due to touchy Linux boxes, or perhaps government restrictions), please let Ariel Shoresh know so we can provide plug-in connections.
