Logistics

Transportation

All participants should plan on flying roundtrip to Yellowstone Regional Airport (COD) arriving Tuesday, August 4 and departing Saturday, August 15. Please plan on an afternoon arrival. Check-in time is 4pm.

Group transportation upon arrival in Cody, Wyoming will be provided. 

Limited ground transportation is available from the Denver, Colorado area. Please contact us before booking a flight.

Transportation for very late arrivals or very early departures must be prearranged.

All participants are expected to stay the duration of the event.

Travel support is available to cover most of transportation costs. Please apply when registering.

Please indicate on the registration form if you need special assistance due to a disability during your stay.

 

 

Travel Reimbursements

Participants will be reimbursed up to their offer amount for transportation expenses only. Transportation upon arrival will be covered as a group expense and is not reimbursable.

Lodging

All rooms are shared (2-5 persons) with shared bathrooms.  Bed types include bunkbeds. Rooming arrangements are preassigned. Mutual roommate requests are accepted.

Laundry is available on site.

Please remember to bring your own toiletries - soap, shampoo, etc. and swim towel.

A flashlight, water bottle, and your reusable CIG cup is recommended. 

Check in time is 4pm.  

Check out time is 10am.

Food

This is a group event. Participants are expected to share in general upkeep of the premises. This includes two days of mandatory kitchen duty. KP (kitchen patrol) begins with dinner and ends with lunch. Teams are expected to have the kitchen ready for the next meal.  Everyone is expected to clean-up after themselves.

Evening meals are catered except for two free evenings. Breakfast and lunch provisions will be available with limited food preparation service (DIY). Baking is highly encouraged!

Please do not bring nut products.

Clothing

The region has a range of recreational activities. We recommend bringing a pair of hiking shoes, hat, swimsuit and towel, sunscreen, bug repellent, and whatever else you need to enjoy the great outdoors. Please check with us before bringing bulky items.

We value the participation of every member of the community and want all participants to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience in their interactions with the CIG community.  Accordingly, all who participate in CIG activities are expected to show respect and courtesy to others, whether interacting in person or online.   CIG’s project leaders, meeting organizers, and committee and working group members are expected to act as representatives of CIG in carrying out their responsibilities.
