Hi,

I have implemented the no net rotation formula that Ian mentions and it works fine

Can you send me the patch for that please?

there is a misunderstanding here. I implemented it in my code. See attached document for what I did exactly.

I did not try anything else since I managed to pass all benchmark experiments of Rhodri with this formula.
Since my density varies by 0.001% at most, I don't expect its value to play a big role in the calculation of omega, however.
I could try the formula containing rho the coming week and document the changes.
