CIG needs you! CIG's funding runs out this summer and we need to write a 
follow-up proposal for 5 more years of funding. It would be outstanding if we 
could get a number of such one-pagers for uses of ASPECT -- if you include 1 
or 2 pictures that you've already created for other uses, then all that's 
necessary is to write half a page of text.

Dear CIG Community,

It was a pleasure to see all of you at AGU once again this year.  As AGU
continues to grow, we appreciate the efforts you make in joining us for our
reception and business meeting Monday night as well as the numerous side
meetings!  The holidays are here and we here at CIG are enjoying a bit of
breathing room to catch up and being working on the CIG III proposal in earnest.

CIG is a community organization. As such your involvement either indirectly
through your research or directly through governance and outreach is important
in its continuation.  Five years ago for CIG II, we ask the community
to provide “one-pagers” on their science using CIG resources.  This was an
impressive compendium of geodynamics.  Even those of us who have been around
for … well, a while,  were astonished by the breadth, quality and ideas
represented.  It was a powerful statement not only to the community but to our
stakeholders.

We are asking for CIG III that once again our community provide a one-page
summary.  Attached is a template.  Please do not make any changes to the
formatting. Don’t forget a colorful figure illustrating your research. CIG
II one-pagers can be downloaded through the following link:

Please get together with your colleagues and help us present CIG’s impact on
geodynamics research. For some of you, consider multiple
submissions representing the breadth of your initiatives as well as
connections with colleagues. Please feel free to forward this email to
colleagues who may not be on this mailing list. * Submit *to me by *January
30, 2015*.
