Nikola,

the manual linked on the main page https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__aspect.geodynamics.org_&d=DwIBaQ&c=Ngd-ta5yRYsqeUsEDgxhcqsYYY1Xs5ogLxWPA_2Wlc4&r=c08Btfq4m9QEScXN3ZQwLZzzWQE7S8CYq1IYuzKV_Zk&m=DK8PmuqOQaDHXpt9OvJcnwumz4wKgCCuGhBHpYzUDSs&s=sxTBlGCcA-AbnHzIOBen1f4Kr-TyqN9ZlOiab-FUPh4&e=
refers to the current development version, which will eventually
become 2.0. In the process, we decided to unify the naming of
parameter sections (especially for initial conditions). If you use the
development version from https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_geodynamics_aspect&d=DwIBaQ&c=Ngd-ta5yRYsqeUsEDgxhcqsYYY1Xs5ogLxWPA_2Wlc4&r=c08Btfq4m9QEScXN3ZQwLZzzWQE7S8CYq1IYuzKV_Zk&m=DK8PmuqOQaDHXpt9OvJcnwumz4wKgCCuGhBHpYzUDSs&s=Nd8K-yVR5idNkWaUH1rt3udh4tZz5on8N7GyqgaiVm4&e= (as it
sounds like from your description because VERSION reads 2.0.0-pre),
you need to use the new naming. We plan to hopefully release 2.0 in
the next couple of weeks.

There is of course the older 1.5 release and the corresponding manual
available at https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_geodynamics_aspect_releases_tag_v1.5.0&d=DwIBaQ&c=Ngd-ta5yRYsqeUsEDgxhcqsYYY1Xs5ogLxWPA_2Wlc4&r=c08Btfq4m9QEScXN3ZQwLZzzWQE7S8CYq1IYuzKV_Zk&m=DK8PmuqOQaDHXpt9OvJcnwumz4wKgCCuGhBHpYzUDSs&s=WmCRIWDiRzU1VkIxeoLIHb4vudmwF1-pE4hXGeZ77Oc&e=

Of course the versions plugins/prms are made for have to be made for
the same version you are using to run it. Note that there are also
helper scripts available to convert 1.5 prms/plugins to 2.0 compatible
ones at https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_geodynamics_aspect_blob_master_doc_update-5Fprm-5Ffiles-5Fto-5F2.0.0.sed&d=DwIBaQ&c=Ngd-ta5yRYsqeUsEDgxhcqsYYY1Xs5ogLxWPA_2Wlc4&r=c08Btfq4m9QEScXN3ZQwLZzzWQE7S8CYq1IYuzKV_Zk&m=DK8PmuqOQaDHXpt9OvJcnwumz4wKgCCuGhBHpYzUDSs&s=EEx2QvFaYhdITj0NH9BAqfkpCHTpgWDZEaecFO2_X2o&e=
and https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_geodynamics_aspect_blob_master_doc_update-5Fsource-5Ffiles-5Fto-5F2.0.0.sed&d=DwIBaQ&c=Ngd-ta5yRYsqeUsEDgxhcqsYYY1Xs5ogLxWPA_2Wlc4&r=c08Btfq4m9QEScXN3ZQwLZzzWQE7S8CYq1IYuzKV_Zk&m=DK8PmuqOQaDHXpt9OvJcnwumz4wKgCCuGhBHpYzUDSs&s=so5H3-NL4vZgvjDtu7UvJSdDWejg3PfpfZy5L-HD-X4&e=

I don't think we document that anywhere right now (mostly because we
haven't found a good place for it).
