Hi Ömer,

Thanks for contacting us regarding the installation issue. Am I correct in assuming that you installed deal.II through the pre-built mac dmg app?

I can’t recall if the pre-built version has been modified to run on 10.13 yet, but perhaps someone else knows. I believe someone successfully built deal.II (and dependencies) from source on a recent version of OS X, but that is likely not the best route.

Aside from the pre-built deal.II app, I think running ASPECT in a docker container may be the easiest solution. There is a section in the manual (3.1) on how to install and use the docker containers.

Eventually do you plan to run ASPECT on a University or national linux cluster? If so and you would like installation help on this front, send me an email anytime.

Cheers,
John
