Hi John and Timo,

Thanks for the help. I'll try with doing a new install tomorrow (this 
time lag is quite weird ;) ). So far I used only 1 core for the 
installation, I'll try with a couple of them instead. Space should 
definitely not be a problem... We looked at what should trigger the 
error "cannot compile a test program with the final set of compiler and 
linker flags", but the answer was quite obscur for us.

And yes, I specified the path for the installation, so this also should 
not be a problem.

With a clean install, I'll tell you if I can get more infos.
