[CIG-ALL] Updating CIG software development priorities and CIG-II

Dear CIG community,

The Science Steering Committee will be meeting at the end of this month to 
update the rolling 5-year strategic plan. Community members should expect to 
receive an email from SSC members on the various working group email lists 
requesting input on updating CIG software development priorities. Please help 
out the SSC and voice your opinions by responding to the emails!

As we prepare to enter into the final year of CIG funding, work has begun 
preparing for CIG-II. Following the reverse site-visit to NSF in November and 
the business meeting at the AGU meeting, the SSC drafted a preliminary vision 
for CIG-II (http://www.geodynamics.org/cig/proposalsndocs/documents/cig2/) 
and posted it on the CIG website in February . The SSC would appreciate 
comments/feedback on this document (simply click on the comment button at the 
bottom of the page).
