IRIS invites applications, particularly from graduate students,
post-docs, and early career faculty and researchers with existing
seismology/computing experience, to attend the IRIS-EarthScope USArray
Data Processing and Analysis Short Course.

The course will be held at Indiana University in Bloomington from August
3-7, 2015. Topics will be geared towards advanced practices, including
bulk data access strategies (e.g. webservices), processing/analyses
using large numbers of stations or events, exercises in various
programming languages and modules such as ObsPy, high performance
computing and parallel processing, and data visualization techniques.

Financial support for travel, lodging (double occupancy), and most meals
is available to select attendees. Financial support will be focused on
applicants who have not attended previous USArray short courses.
International participants may also apply, but must cover their own
expenses and arrange their own travel.
