Brown University is looking for a Scientific Computing Coordinator to work with the Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Science and the Department of Chemistry. The Scientific Computing Coordinator ensures that the computing environment in the departments properly supports research, teaching, and administrative activities. He/she also assists department members in their use of computers by offering advice and helping to resolve problems. A key aspect of this position is the facilitation of research, including software implementation and use of high performance computing platforms. A bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree is preferred.
