The Department of Geology and Environmental Science (http://www.geology.pitt.edu <http://www.geology.pitt.edu/>) at
the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a full-time one-year visiting assistant

glacier dynamics through quantifying and interpreting ground displacement using
satellite remote sensing via Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) or Global
Positioning Systems (GPS), passive source seismology to understand Earthquake
sources and structure, seismic anisotropy and lithospheric structure and composition as
modulated by tectonic processes, and acquiring, processing, and interpretation of active
or passive waveform data.

Applicants should email questions and the following materials to the Visiting Assistant
Professor Search Committee (gpsgrad at pitt.edu <mailto:gpsgrad at pitt.edu>): 1) a CV (including past and current
grant support), 2) statements of teaching and research interests, 3) copies of 3 relevant

required at the time of appointment.

Review of applicants will begin immediately and proceed until the position is filled. The
