Manager of Research Computing
The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at Oregon
State University in Corvallis, Oregon invites applications for a Manager
of Research Computing. This is a full-time 1.00 FTE, 12-month, position
with reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean. CEOAS seeks a
forward-looking,creative Information Technology (IT) professional to
ensure the ongoing success and further development of the research and
instructional computing projects. The successful candidate will blend
technical IT experience, strong leadership skills, and enthusiasm for
science and teaching to engage a vibrant and dynamic computing
ecosystem. The manager is responsible for the technical, fiscal and
administrative leadership for the College’s IT services. As a part of
the leadership team, the manager takes an active role in advancing
strategic and operational initiatives, collaborates with researchers and
teaching faculty, and with College and University decision makers to
identify, recommend, prototype, develop, implement and maintain
operational capabilities for all aspects of computing in support of
faculty, staff and students. The manager supervises technical support
staff. Requirements include bachelor’s degree in information services,
engineering, science or related field, minimum of five years’ experience
in the IT field, and demonstrated commitment to advancing and promoting
