Greetings,

I am pleased to announce a beta release of Gale, an Arbitrary
Langrangian-Eulerian code for the long term tectonics community.  You
can download the code from

  http://geodynamics.org/cig/software/packages/gale/

You can read installation instructions in the bundled README and
INSTALL files.

Release Notes:

  * The simple-extension.xml example should work in 2D and 3D.  The
    other input files have not been tested.

  * Binaries are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

  * Documentation has been improved, though there is still much work
    to do.

  * The parallel capabilities of the code are temporarily broken.

This is a beta release, so do not be surprised if you find bugs.
