[CIG-LONG] Recommended Petsc version with Gale

Is there a petsc version that is recommended with Gale1.4.1.

I've been trying to install Gale 1.4.1 using petsc-2.3.3-p15 and I'm
having trouble.  Petsc installs fine, and Gale compiles fine, but then
it segfaults when running and complains about petsc.  It could be
something I'm doing, but I just wanted to check to see if this was an
appropriate version of petsc to use.
