You have to download and build the code from the repository.  The
difficulty of doing that depends on what kind of machine you are
running Gale on.  On Linux, to get the code, you run

  svn checkout http://geodynamics.org/svn/cig/long/3D/Gale/trunk Gale

That will put the code into a directory named "Gale".  There is some
basic help on using svn at

  http://www.geodynamics.org/cig/software/Repository/subversion

To build the code, there are instructions in the file "INSTALL".  If
you get stuck, do not hesitate to ask again.
