[CIG-LONG] Erosion in Gale

G'day Walter,

I've just started using the diffusive erosion plugin (SurfaceProcess) for Gale in my models and I was just wondering whether you might be able to give me a better idea of how it operates. When applying the diffusive operator, what actually happens to the 'eroded' particles? Are they transported and diffused to lower lying regions? In my model this appears to be the case, but there is a good chance that I am imagining things due to wishful thinking. Any clarification would be great :)
