[CIG-SEISMO] Efficiency of CPML

Dear Specfem3d developers,
I am a postdoc working with Prof. Jean Paul Ampuero on computational earthquake dynamics. I am using the Specfem3d for dynamic rupture simulations. I have noticed that the example in devel/EXAMPLES/CPML_examples/XXXX takes much longer time to run when CPML is turned on: about 5 minutes without CPML versus about 30 minutes with CPML. Is this the expected behavior? Does the efficiency of CPML depend on the configure of our Cluster?
