[CIG-SHORT] updating CIG strategic plan

Short-Term Crustal Dynamics Working Group:

The CIG Science Steering Committee will be updating the CIG 5 year 
strategic plan in mid-May. (This is a rolling 5 year plan so it is 
updated every year.) At our July 2005 workshop in Los Alamos, we 
generated priorities for year 1 (Sep 2005 - Aug 2006), year 2 (Sep 
2006 - Aug 2007), and year 3+ (Sep 2007 and beyond). I would like to 
encourage you to look over the current working group priorities 
listed in the workshop report 
(http://www.geodynamics.org:8080/cig/workinggroups/eq/workarea/planning/planspriorities2005/workshop2005) 
and even the strategic plan 
(http://www.geodynamics.org:8080/cig/proposalsndocs/documents/CIGplan.pdf) 
and provide some feedback. 

Note: I think we are in good shape to meet the year 1 priorities by 
Sep 2006. 

Do the priorities continue to reflect our community's needs?

Do the priorities listed for year 1 and year 2 remain our highest 
priority items?

Assuming we satisfy most of the year 1 priorities this year, which of 
the year 2 priorities should become year 1 priorities? Which of the 
year 3+ priorities should become year 2 priorities?

Are there additional priorities that we should consider?

from your response.
