[CIG-SHORT] Fwd: [CIG-HELP] PyLith Installation issues

Dear Bobak,

In the future, please send any PyLith-related questions to the cig-short mailing list. To answer your question, we need to know what problem you are running and what .cfg files you are using. The error makes it look as though you don't have a .cfg file in the directory where you are running your problem (or at least not one that defines the mesh information). Can you try the following:

cd to the src/examples/3d/hex8 directory (wherever this directory might be on your machine). There should be a pylithapp.cfg file and a number of stepxx.cfg files.
Type the following: pylith step01.cfg

I'm not sure how you can save the output to a file using Windows, but it would be nice to see the entire run log if something is not working correctly.

Cheers,
Charles

ValueError: Filenmae for ASCII input mesh not specified I tried installing PyLith on another computer and running it, but I ran into the same problem. I am using a Windows 7 64-bit machine. I'd be grateful for any guidance you can give in resolving this matter. Thank You, Bobak Karimi
