Afternoon Logan,

You actually don't need to purchase PyLith - we offer all codes free and open source to the geophysics community. We only ask that you cite CIG and the code used when you publish.

You can download PyLith here:

http://geodynamics.org/cig/software/pylith

This link contains the tar ball, manual, and other links to help you get started on using PyLith, including an excellent online tutorial from June 2011. I see that you've joined the CIG-short mailing list - that's good for contacting fellow users with any problems you might have with using the code for your particular research.

Good luck on the thesis! When you publish, we'd love to hear more of your work.

Yours,
Ariel Shoresh
CIG, Administrator
