[CIG-SHORT] CPPFLAGS Directory Error

Matt,

This is the configure command I use:
lawrence at petaluma:~/Documents/pylith/src/pylith-2.0.3/templates/materials$
./configure --prefix=$HOME/Documents/pylith
CPPFLAGS="-I/home/Documents/pylith/include"
LDFLAGS="-L/home/Documents/pylith/lib"
PYLITH_SWIG_DIR="-I/home/Documents/pylith/share/pylith/swig" CC=gcc CXX=g++

Following is the error in config.log file:
conftest.cpp:23:28: fatal error: ac_nonexistent.h: No such file or directory

Attached here is the config.log file.
