[CIG-SHORT] Traction Perturbations in Pylith

Hi!

I have a very basic query about the TractPerturbation component for fault n
pylith. Should the specified traction (as a value or a .spatialdb file) be
the new traction values on fault surface or a change (perturbation) in
traction values. This is the code I am using in pylith for my perturbation:

[pylithapp.timedependent.interfaces.fault.traction_perturbation]
db_initial = spatialdata.spatialdb.SimpleDB
db_initial.label = Initial fault tractions
db_initial.iohandler.filename = tractions_opening_6_days.spatialdb
db_initial.query_type = linear

any input will really help.
