Hi Marine,

I have had some success with installing ASPECT 2.0 on a supercomputer in the UK that is based on Cray XC30.

I put together an installation guide on the aspect website for compilation on the UK supercomputer, but it may be of some help.

Feel free to message me if it doesn't help, and I can try and work through some problems with you!

Good luck!

Best,

Phil

Subject: [aspect-devel] XC-30 / ASPECT 2.0

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone tried to compile/use the new version of ASPECT on a Cray ?
We have a Cray XC-30 here, and the “old” version was compiling and working OK. My first tests with the new versions are not conclusive so far (problem with linking deal.II as a dynamic library. The compiling seems OK, but then the executable is not working). I compiled again the old version with deal.ii v.8,5 OK, so it does not seem to be a change in the cluster.
I will have a closer look later (my access to the cluster this week is very difficult as I’m not in my institute), but I was wondering if anyone tried anything and if there is already known problems with this?
And if I manage to install it, I’ll let you know!
