Morning all:

For those of you attending the AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco, we'd like
to invite you to attend the CIG Business Meeting, as well as pass by the
CIG Booth at the Moscone Exhibit Hall.

The Business Meeting will be held December 4th, 2012 at the Parc 55 Hotel,
55 Cyril Magnin Street, from 6-8:30pm. As in years past, we will open with
a reception from 6-6:45pm (free noshes/sodas - cash bar), before getting
down to the nitty gritty of updating the community on the achievements of
the past year, as well as soliciting community feedback for future CIG
endeavors. There are also several initiatives being launched by the NSF,
and we wish to get community feedback as to how it may apply to CIG.

You do not need to be a member of CIG to attend the meeting. Graduate
students, post-docs and early career researchers are welcome.

In addition, CIG will be hosting a booth with our colleagues from the
KeckCAVES (3-D virtual visualization) during the meeting, as part of NSF
Street. We welcome you to stop by and speak to our staff and affiliated
developers. A schedule of booth personnel can be found here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsHOnhMW-_NrdEJpeDB2WWZqTWlaNWhUcHI4bUxvU2c#gid=0

If you would like to join us for a slot or two - just add your name to the
google doc, shoot me an email, and we'll see you there!

The hours of the booth are Tuesday-Thursday, 9:30 to 6:00, and Friday 9:30
to 1:30pm.

The booths are in Moscone North, and our booth number is 5340. You will
take an immediate left upon entering the main hall, and go down the aisle
along the main wall. We will be the 2nd booth from the end (on left),
between the NSF Antarctic Program and NSF Polar Field booths.

As before, we are also collecting abstracts for sessions and posters that
involve CIG Code - our current list can be found here:

http://geodynamics.org/cig/community/documents/agu2012

If you do not see your abstract, and would like to add it, please let us
know. We will need the information as displayed, as well as what day your
session is on.
