 7 February 2013

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open to attend the
EarthCube Geosciences Modeling Workshop in Boulder, Colorado on April 22-23,
2013.

Hosted by CIG (www.geodynamics.org) in partnership with CUAHSI
(www.cuahsi.org <x-msg://1109/www.cuahsi.org> ) and CSDMS
(csdms.colorado.edu), this EarthCube domain workshop seeks to document the
experiences and expertise of well-defined modeling communities within the
Geosciences that have, over time, developed their own community,
infrastructure and resources; assess the needs and readiness of modelers in
related geosciences disciplines who do not currently have access to similar
resources or community organizations; and provide well defined use cases and
a list of functional requirements that can inform the development of
EarthCube.

More information on the workshop and the application to attend can be found
at:

http://www.geodynamics.org/cig/community/workshops/Earthcube13/e3index.html

Please note the deadline for submission of your application is February
28th. In person attendance is limited to 60 participants. Participants will
be notified in early March. We are planning to offer a virtual component to
the workshop for all others.

Sincerely,
