You can get the instantaneous strain by multiplying the strain rate
tensor by the timestep.  Finite strain is a bit more complicated.
Finite strain under yield is already available.  However, it is only a
scalar.  Recording everything is not fundamentally difficult, but it
would require some fiddling to get it to work.
