Hi Michael,

The future status of Gale is currently uncertain and under discussion by the CIG executive committee. Currently we plan to offer basic support and bug fixes for version 2.01, but it is unclear whether new features will be added and if they are there may be a time lag before we get to them.

If the current version of Gale can handle the sort of problems you are interested in, I'd recommend that you look into using it. If you require additional features, please let us know and we'll take it into account when deciding what to do next. If you're uncertain about whether Gale can handle what you want to do then let me know and we can try to figure it out.

Good luck,

-Eric
