[CIG-SHORT] powerpc installation trouble

Hi all,
I'm having a little trouble installing the powerpc binary (onto OSX 10.5.8).
 It seems there is an un-fulfillable path dependency built into it (user
"buildbot").  Has this been dealt with before?

( note the following environment variable are set:
DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/pylith-1.4.2-darwin-powerpc/lib:/usr/local/pylith-1.4.2-darwin-powerpc/opt/petsc-dev/darwin8.9.0-cxx-opt/lib
PYTHONPATH=/usr/local/pylith-1.4.2-darwin-powerpc/lib/python2.3/site-packages
