[CIG-SHORT] mpirun with the 2d examples

I try to run the example files with the pylith 1.6.1 binary. In the 3d 
directory, it is ok to run the job on multicores by running pylith 
step0x.cfg --nodes=n. However, I got an error message when trying to run 
the 2d/subduction examples using mpi.

I have tried in both linux and mac version of binaries. They both have 
the same error messages.
Attached is the parameter file when typing pylithinfo. Has anyone 
encountered the same problem?
