[CIG-SHORT] Error using PyLith binary on Darwin (Mac)

All,

For those of you who might be interested, Mahesh's problems with getting 
the PyLith binary to work on Darwin appear to be related to Apples use 
of additional metadata tags on downloaded files. We don't know precisely 
where things went wrong, but downloading a fresh tarball and unpacking 
it all via the command line resolved the problem. For more info, see the
