[CIG-SHORT] fault opening near tip problem

Eren,

In order to answer your question, it would help to have more information.

What is the loading?

What do you mean by "fracture"? Are you prescribing slip or using a
frictional interface? In either case, what are the interface conditions?

By "tip nodes" do you mean you have marked the buried edges so that they
do not slip?

Do the linear and nonlinear solves converge?

Regards,
Brad
