[CIG-MC] Community Interest Workshop: Geophysics of Slab Dynamics

We would like to bring to your attention an upcoming conference on "Geophysics of Slab Dynamics" to be held on Jeju Island, Korea, August 19-22 hosted by Sang-Mook Lee, Seoul National University.  The meeting will bring together researchers worldwide who are studying subduction processes ranging from megathrust earthquakes and tsunamis to geochemical arc signatures, slab volcanism, rheology, slab geometry, and mantle flow.  We have support through NSF for partial travel support for early career researchers in the US.  The conference will include a field trip introducing participants to Jeju's geology and culture.  This promises to be a unique meeting with a very holistic approach to subduction.  For information regarding the meeting see the website below.
