[CIG-SEISMO] cloning of specfem2d/specfem3d example folder fails

Hi Michael,
I am not with CIG so I can't tell what's happening but I tried cloning
specfem3d and I ran into a problem as well so I don't think it's on your
side. I get a different error, mine is "Connection timed out".
