2022 Crustal Deformation Modeling Workshop

COVID-19

Please help us by doing your part in keeping all attendees safe.

The workshop will follow the Mines and UC Davis COVID-19 protocols for in-person events, using the stricter requirements in situations in which they are not aligned. As with many other areas within the United States, the Golden area has seen a recent increase in COVID cases.

All attendees MUST BE up to date on their COVID vaccines.  This means completing the series of initial shots and recommended boosters [CDC].  See the list of CDC approved vaccines. Remember to bring your vaccine cards. A photo image is acceptable. Please inquire about approved exemptions.

Before travel

  • Send Lorraine your proof of vaccination: ljhwang@ucdavis.edu.
This can be a secure link or a copy or photograph of your official documents. Check in will proceed faster if everyone is precleared.
  • We ask you to test 24-48 hours before travel to limit both the possibility of transmission and having to quarantine upon arrival. We will not reimburse for housing if you need to quarantine beyond the duration of the workshop.

While traveling

Wear a mask on all public transportation. This includes airports, airplanes, buses, trains, taxis, ubers etc.

During the event

  • Masks will be required in the meeting space. We strongly recommend N95 or KN95 masks. Please bring a sufficient number of masks so that you can use a new one every 2-3 days.
  • If you are staying in the dorms, you will receive a rapid antigen test kit upon arrival (Sunday). Monday morning, before showing up at the conference room, complete your test. Take a photograph of the result. Screenshot the photo such that the date and time are shown. You will need to show this photo before entering.
  • If you are not staying in the dorms, you will receive a test kit upon checking in. Please arrive early. Antigen tests take at least 15 min to complete.
  • We will provide rapid antigen tests for anyone exhibiting potential symptoms (until our supply runs out). As of June 1, there is a free testing site providing PCR tests a short walk from the dorms.

We strongly encourage everyone to make use of outdoor spaces for eating and socializing while at the meeting (bring sun protection). No food will be allowed in the conference room. We are working with the Colorado School of Mines to determine logistics for quarantining should anyone test positive.

On Campus Testing

The on campus COVIDCheck Colorado test site is on the corner of 19th St. and Elm St. You can schedule appointment for COVIDCheck Colorado CCC:https://covidcheckcolorado.org/find-our-sites-testing/
