2024 Rayleigh Hackathon

Transportation

All participants should plan on flying roundtrip to Denver (DEN)  arriving Sunday June 16 and departing Saturday June 22. Please plan on an afternoon arrival before 2p. Check-in time is 4 pm.  The event begins with dinner (dinner provided).

Group transportation upon arrival will be provided. 

Transportation for very late arrivals or very early departures must be prearranged.

All participants are expected to stay the duration of the event.

Travel support is available to cover most of transportation costs. Please apply when registering.

Please indicate on the registration form if you need special assistance due to a disability during your stay.

Travel Reimbursements

Participants will be reimbursed up to their offer amount for transportation expenses only. Transportation upon arrival will be covered as a group expense and is not reimbursable.

All attendees must apply for Travel Support when applying to cover both individual and group expenses including Lodging and Food.

All travel must be registered with UC Davis. Please see your email for instructions.

Lodging

All rooms are shared (2-3 persons) with shared bathrooms.  Bed types may include bunkbeds. Rooming arrangements are preassigned. Mutual roommate requests are accepted.

Laundry is available on site. 

Please remember to bring your own toiletries - soap, shampoo, etc.

Check in time is 4 pm.  

Check out time is  10 am.

Food

This is a group event. Participants are expected to share in general upkeep of the premises. This includes two days of mandatory kitchen duty. Kitchen duty begins with dinner and ends with lunch. Teams are expected to have the kitchen ready for the next meal.  Everyone is expected to clean-up after themselves.

Evening meals. Guest Chef is back this year. Ask Lorraine about opportunities to show off your group culinary skills.  Some meals will  also be catered except for one free evenings. Breakfast and lunch provisions will be available with limited food preparation service (DIY). Baking is highly encouraged!

Clothing

The region has a range of recreational activities. We recommend bringing a pair of hiking shoes, hat, swimsuit and towel, sunscreen, and whatever else you need to enjoy mountain weather. Please check with us before bringing bulky items.
