About the Group

Public Description

The Research Software Working Group champions the use and development of software in geodynamics. They achieve this through promoting best practices in software, contributing to the exchange of knowledge of current trends in software, and nurturing growing software communities.
Members of this group will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing software under consideration for contribution to the CIG community.
  • Advising software communities on best practices.
  • Maintaining CIG’s Software Best Practices.
  • Delivering workshops and other events in support of these goals
