2022 ASPECT Hackathon

Transportation

All participants should plan on flying roundtrip to Yellowstone Regional Airport (COD) arriving Sunday, May 15 and departing Tuesday May 24. Please plan on an afternoon arrival. Check-in time is 4pm. 

Group transportation upon arrival in Cody, Wyoming will be provided. 

Transportation for very late arrivals or very early departures must be prearranged.

All participants are expected to stay the duration of the event.

Travel support is available to cover most of transportation costs. Please apply when registering.

Please indicate on the registration form if you need special assistance due to a disability during your stay.

Travel Reimbursements

Participants will be reimbursed up to their offer amount for transportation expenses only. Transportation upon arrival will be covered as a group expense and is not reimbursable.

All attendees must apply for Travel Support when applying to cover both individual and group expenses including Lodging and Food.

Lodging

All rooms are shared (2-5 persons) with shared bathrooms.  Bed types include bunkbeds. Rooming arrangements are preassigned. Mutual roommate requests are accepted.

Laundry is available on site.

Please remember to bring your own toiletries - soap, shampoo, etc. and swim towel.

A flashlight, water bottle, and your reusable CIG cup is recommended. 

Check in time is 4pm.  

Check out time is 10am.

Food

This is a group event. Participants are expected to share in general upkeep of the premises. This includes two days of mandatory kitchen duty. KP (kitchen patrol) begins with dinner and ends with lunch. Teams are expected to have the kitchen ready for the next meal.  Everyone is expected to clean-up after themselves.

Evening meals are catered except for two free evenings. Breakfast and lunch provisions will be available with limited food preparation service (DIY). Baking is highly encouraged!

Clothing

The region has a range of recreational activities. We recommend bringing a pair of hiking shoes, hat, swimsuit and towel, sunscreen, bug repellent, and whatever else you need to enjoy the great outdoors. Please check with us before bringing bulky items.

COVID-19

This event will use as guidance, the COVID-19 protocols in place for large events as established by UC Davis. This may include mandatory testing before and during the event. Given that we will share close quarters for more than a week, we request that all participants be fully vaccinated and boosted.
