The room rates are quoted in Canadian dollars.  Rates are subject to the 2% Tourism Improvement Fee (TIF), total, and then  add the 4% Tourism Levy and 5% Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST). Rates are extended to delegates two days prior and two days after the contracted convention dates on a space available basis.  Certain blackout dates may apply.

Shared Accomodations:  To arrange for a roommate during the conference, contact Alison Murata with your name, email, gender, student (yes/no), institution, requested roommate's gender, arrival date, departure date, additional notes (e.g. already booked a room, do not want to room with a smoker, etc.)

Individuals are required to reserve their guest room with one of our reservation agents using our direct line 403-762-4433  or our toll free number: 1-800-661-9266  Delegate reservations require a valid credit card number or a cheque or money order for advance deposit made payable to Banff Park Lodge.  Reservations and deposits must reach the hotel at least 45 days prior to arrival.

Please be aware that special requests for specific room types cannot be guaranteed, but the hotel will make every effort to honour each request.

Deposited reservations are guaranteed for arrival until 07:00 AM on the day following the first night reserved. Individual deposits are refundable if the notice of cancellation is received by the Banff Park Lodge 72 hours prior to the date of arrival.  Delegates should note and retain the cancellation number quoted to them by the Reservation Agent at the time the cancellation is made.

Bus departs 8:45 a.m. sharp from outside the Banff Park Lodge and returns by approximately 5 pm.

 TRAVEL INFORMATION

The Calgary International Airport is well served by many international and domestic airlines with non-stop flights from Canada, the U.S. and overseas. Banff is approximately 100 kms (1 hr) west of Calgary easily accessible by car or bus.  Calgary has excellent east-west access along the Trans Canada Highway (Highway #1) and north-south access via Highway #2.

Shuttle service to Banff is available at frequent intervals directly from the Calgary airport or from downtown Calgary to downtown Banff. The view is breathtaking and the trip takes approximately 1.5 hours.

A "park pass" is required by all people using the Banff National Park; revenues from park passes fund Banff National Park's daily operations. Park pass prices are listed below. Passes can be purchased at the gate when entering the national park or at the Tourism Bureau located in downtown Banff. Please contact Parks Canada.

Tourist (non-Canadian Residents) are eligible to file for a refund on the Goods & Service Tax (GST).  This includes accomodations but DOES NOT APPLY to transportation and any services or meals consumed in Canada.  Eligible receipts must exceed $50 CDN (berfore taxes). Additional Instructions

Foreign Currency.  Clearly note all transactions that are in Canadian dollars (CDN).  If you wished to be reimbursed in funds other than USD, please compete the Wire Transfer Form.

Travel Support Limits.  Do not claim more than you were offered for travel support. If your travel exceeds amount, offered, clearly mark on the form TOTAL CLAIMED: $XXX.

Signature. Remember to SIGN your form.  Forms will be returned if you use a digital signature or photograph of a signature.
