Please read these instructions carefully. This is a private residence and bear country. You are expected to participate in maintaining the property.

Please be advised: Adjacent in-law apartment is occupied with caretakers. Please respect their privacy. For emergencies, contact them by telephone.

ESSENTIALS

The shuttle from Squaw Village runs every ½ hour from the resort to the village and will stop at the corner of Russell and Squaw Valley Road. It is a 1 mile walk along the bike path to the Village.

To open the curtains, please use the rope at the side of each curtain. Manually pulling them open will break the system.

SERVICES 

Squaw Village: gourmet mini-market, coffee and restaurants.
Tahoe City: Save Mart Supermarket, Safeway and CVS.
Truckee: Safeway and CVS

MUSIC SYSTEM

The house is equipped with a Sonos music system. There is one speaker in the game room and one in the living room. Download the free Sonos App to control the system. Follow the instructions and press the button on top of the sonos device on the desk to use.  

DURING YOUR STAY

To prevent bears and other animals from entering the house, please:

• Put all trash in the bear-proof container at the beginning of the driveway
• Do not leave food on the counters
• Make sure all doors and windows are locked when not home
• Do not leave garbage or garbage bags in the garage
• If the bear-proof container becomes full, please bring excess trash to the community trash dumpsters behind the Squaw Water District Buildings, near the Plumpjack Inn and the old Fire Station.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE

• Put all the trash in the bear box at the beginning of the driveway.
• There is no need to strip the beds.
• Turn all lights off.
• Set thermostats in main house and guest apartment to “Hold” and 56 degrees
• Securely fasten the hot tub cover.
• Securely close and lock all windows and doors. Please note that sliding door in living room requires use of a wooden rod in the track in order to securely lock it.
• Do not leave food on the counters
• Do not leave garbage or garbage bags in the garage

Satellite House

This site is >1 mile from the Main House (uphill).

Rooms will be assigned upon arrival.

Instructions

Full housing instructions are in a binder on site. All occupants are expected to read and follow these instructions and be active in maintaining BOTH houses. The Code of Conduct applies.

Tall cars will NOT fit in the garage. A total of 4 cars can be parked at this site.
