2020 CIG Community Workshop: Advancing Our Understanding of Earth Dynamics in CIG IV
Virtual Posters
Virtual posters and their prerecorded talks will be available for viewing prior to the beginning of the conference. All contributors will be given the opportunity to sign up for a time slot during the Question and Answer Sessions before and after the formal Workshop program. Attendees will be expected to view the materials prior to the Question and Answer session.
We will be using figshare to share and present virtual posters. By using figshare, your work will be openly available, discoverable, and citable. figshare supports open source licensing and provides DOIs. We recommend the CC BY 4.0 license for presentations for this conference. More about the CC BY license can be found at the creative commons website and here on figshare.
figshare supports a variety of formats. We recommend that you upload a regular conference poster and a short prerecorded presentation. Maximum file size: 5GB

DEADLINE TO UPLOAD YOUR POSTER IS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2020.
Instructions
1. Submit your presentation to the conference portal:
https://2020cigworkshop.figshare.com/submit
2. Upload your presentation and prerecorded talk. .png format is not recommended as it may not render in the previewer
3. Complete metadata (*required). See figure (right).

- Description*
- Funding
- Reference
- License: CC BY 4.0 recommended
4. Upload additional files (as needed).
5. Click Submit.
All submissions require moderator approval.
PRERECORDED POSTER PRESENTATIONS
You may use any of the following methods to make your prerecorded poster presentations available:
a. Preferred. Upload as part of your figshare submission. Your presentation will be available as part of the permanent record.
b. Alternate. Provide a link to a personal page or YouTube account in your figshare metadata.
c. Alternate. Send file to events@geodynamics.org to be uploaded to the CIG YouTube Channel.

Tips
- Optimize your file. The larger the file, the longer it takes to load and process.
- Give your file a descriptive name. The filename will be used in the poster citation.
- You can modify your initial upload. However, certain modifications will trigger versioning of your original upload. See more [here]
