2017 CIG-LLNL Computational Seismology Workshop

Travel to Livermore

We recommend flying into San Francisco International (SFO) or Oakland International (OAK) Airport.  Both airports are served by BART.

BART from SFO
The BART station is located in the International Terminal. Take any train (yellow or red) and transfer at Daly City to a Dublin/Pleasanton (blue) train.  Disembark at Dublin/Pleasanton (last stop). Take a taxi or Uber to the hotel

BART from OAK
Proceed to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport Station. Take a Dublin/Pleasanton (blue) train. Disembark at Dublin/Pleasanton (last stop). Take a taxi or Uber to the hotel.

Direction to LVOC

The workshop will be held on LLNL's Livermore Valley Open Campus (LVOC) off of Greenville Road.  This NOT the main campus/gate. A shuttle will be provided from the DoubleTree Hotel to LVOC.

If you are driving, parking is available in front of the HPCIC (T6475) and also near the Annex building (T6527).

All rooms are double occupancy. Check in beings at 3pm. Check out by noon/12P.

Transportation will be provided daily to and from LVOC and to off site events. See Agenda for more details and times.

 

Travel Reimbursements

Participants will be reimbursed up to their offer amount for transportation expenses only. 

 This includes:

  • airfare
  • airport shuttle
  • airport parking
  • mileage to and from airport

Travel Support Limits.  Do not claim more than you were offered for travel support. If your travel exceeds amount, offered, clearly mark on the form TOTAL CLAIMED: $XXX.

All  files should begin with your LAST NAME FIRST.

All travel support claims must be submitted by  October 23, 2017.

REMEMBER to include your offer letter with your receipts.  Do not forget to SIGN your travel report. No photographs of travel reports are accepted.

Please save all your receipts as you travel, and plan to complete the expense report as soon as possible after the workshop. Receipts for all credit card purchase must show proof of charge e.g. last 4 digits of credit card.
